West Hills Hospital November 20, 2015

WEST HILLS, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2015) — West Hills Hospital & Medical Center, an accredited full-service acute care facility based in the San Fernando Valley, announces its ranking on The Joint Commission’s 2015 list of “Top Performers.” Released this week, the Joint Commission’s Annual Report’s “Top Performers on Key Quality Measures®,” is created to recognize accredited hospitals that demonstrate a high level of performance on accountability measures related to evidence-based care.

Using objective figures, the Joint Commission identifies the nation’s top-performing hospitals by analyzing data on clinical processes for certain conditions — such as heart attack, heart failure, perinatal care, pneumonia, stroke and surgical care — against criteria related to positive patient outcomes. The complete 2015 “Top Performers” list included 1,043 facilities this year –– 106 of which are owned by Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), West Hills Hospital’s parent company.

“Providing high-quality care that leads to positive results for our patients is our top priority at West Hills Hospital,” said Douglas Long, West Hills Hospital’s president and CEO. “The Top Performer acknowledgment by The Joint Commission encourages everyone here at West Hills Hospital as we strive to consistently treat every patient with care, passion and compassion.
