WEST HILLS, CALIF. — West Hills Hospital & Medical Center has announced the recipients of the prestigious HCA Healthcare Frist Humanitarian Award, the highest honor bestowed upon employees, physicians and volunteers. As part of HCA Healthcare, West Hills Hospital is proud to recognize the extraordinary work and dedication of its colleagues.

West Hills Hospital's employee award recipient is Elaine Rojas, RN, an educator at Grossman Burn Center. Rojas has worked with burn patients since 1979. She is a highly skilled burn nurse and educator, and she is one of the pioneers of burn survivor support.

The hospital's volunteer award recipient is Joleen "Pepi" Brannon. Brannon is a very compassionate and helpful volunteer with a positive attitude and willingness to help. She has volunteered more than 2,000 hours in the past three years.

West Hills Hospital's physician award recipient is Peter Grossman, MD. Grossman is the medical director of the Grossman Burn Center and dedicates his time to providing cosmetic and reconstruction surgeries for burn injuries as well as burn prevention education in the United States and around the world.

These caring and talented individuals will be considered for HCA Healthcare's division-level awards. The division-level winners are entered into the judging for the national-level awards, which are presented during a special ceremony at the HCA Healthcare headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
