West Hills Hospital is closing its obstetrics program, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery and Nursery. (35 hospital beds will be impacted.) This is due to a significant decline in the amount of babies being born at the hospital over the past few years.
The nearest facilities with comparable services within the community are:
- Northridge Hospital
18300 Roscoe Blvd
Northridge, CA 91325
- Providence Tarzana
18321 Clark St
Tarzana, CA 91356
- Valley Presbyterian
15107 Vanowen St
Van Nuys, CA 91405
All three facilities serve MediCal and Medicare patients.
West Hills Hospital will work closely with the obstetrical medical staff to maintain continuity of care for its patients. We will also continue to provide emergency care services, including OB/GYN, to all patients.
We will work closely with the estimated 55 team members who may be impacted by this move to identify opportunities, including career development training options, within our hospital system.
If you are having a medical emergency, please proceed to our Emergency Department for care.
