Amenities for your care and comfort

We want you to be as comfortable as possible while at West Hills Hospital and invite you to take advantage of the range of services we offer for your comfort.

Amenities Cart

(beginning May 1) Making the rounds daily is our new Amenities Cart.  Offering coffee, tea and snacks to visitors and entertainment options for patients, it will visit all waiting areas and patient floors.

Café at West Hills

With convenient hours of operation, the West Hills Café offers health-conscious, nutritious menu choices for our patients, guests and staff featuring hand-tossed salads, worldwide cuisine and vegetarian, vegan and wellness dining options. The hospital dining room and nearby vending machines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Chapel/Serenity Room

The hospital chapel/serenity room is located on the first floor next to the Administrative Offices.  Visitors of all faiths are welcome to use this space for prayer and meditation.  If you would like to speak with a spiritual advisor, please ask your nurse.

Gifts for Patients

Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients

Gift Shop

The West Hills Hospital & Medical Center Auxiliary, a 501(c) 3 organization, operates the hospital Gift Shop seven days a week with the help of dedicated volunteers. The Gift Shop’s proceeds support scholarships for students bound for California colleges.  You will find flowers, newborn and baby items, cards, sundries, magazines, candy and treats, clothing and much more. Depending on volunteer availability, Gift Shop hours may vary.

Insurance Claims Assistance

While you are a guest at West Hills, we offer a service through our Case Management office to work with your insurance carrier to help ensure that your stay and services are covered by your insurance plan 

Patient Portal

We provide personal, secure online access to your personal medical information. This makes time-consuming tasks like retrieving lab results or reports simple and fast. Patient Portal access is a click away by first making sure we have your correct email address.

Pet Therapy

We have four registered therapy dogs that come to visit patients at West Hills on a weekly basis, bringing with them a touch of companionship.

Security Escort

Security escort to your parked car is available upon request at the lobby information desk.


For our visitors, public telephones are located in the Emergency Department waiting room and are equipped with amplification for the hard of hearing.  The public telephone has TTY capability and is handicapped accessible.

Vending Machines

Vending machines are available in open areas and conveniently located in the first floor dining room outside of the West Hills Café, on the 3rd floor waiting area across from the elevators, in the ICU waiting area and the Emergency Department waiting area.

Waiting Areas

Family members waiting for surgical patients should wait in the surgery waiting room on the 2nd floor.  Other waiting areas are located on the 4th floor and 5th floor.  All visitors should feel welcome to use our lobby and café and dining area.

Wireless Internet Access

We offer complimentary wireless Internet access for guests and visitors. Simply open a browser on your personal mobile device or computer and access our special guest-only log-in.
